The Party for the organisation of a free Brittany (whose acronym 'pobl' means 'people' in the Breton language) was a Breton nationalist movement.
The POBL- Breton democracy(created in1982) claimed to identify with Breton nationalism and European federalism. Its tendencies being "Na ruz na gwenn" (neither red nor white), its leanings were to the centre right or moderate, and it was the inheritor of 'Strollad ar Vro', being the political inheritor of the MOB ( Mouvement pour l’organisation de la Bretagne). It claimed the 'inaliable right of the Breton population to govern itself and become master of its own destiny again ». Its publication was 'l'Avenir de la Bretagne'. POBL was a member of the ' European Free Alliance'.
