Yann Sohier was his Breton name. Jean Lucien leon Marie Sohier was his franch name. He was born on the 10th of September 1901 in Loudeac and died on the 21st of March 1935 in Plourivo.
He was a teacher, a militant for the Breton language and an internationalist.
He created the magazine called Ar Falz in 1932. He wrote several articles for different newspappers under various pseudonyms as Yann ar Ruz, Mestr skol bihan, Fañch Divadou, Yann Keryel...
He was the founder of the movement for teaching Breton in public school.
