Breton historian and prehistorian, born in Guèrande on 18th June 1877 and deceased in Piriac-sur-mer on 21st March 1937. In parallel with his activities as historian and prehistorian, Henri Quilgars was the founder in Rennes of the Comité for the defence of Breton interests in 1921, and of his newspaper 'La Bretagne intégrale'. He took part in the Breton cultural movements of between the two World Wars and in the Breton nationalist movements at the time.
