Francois Le Lay, or Fañch-Mari al Lae, born on 24th August 1859 in Locquirec, and died on 24th May 1937 in Breast, was a historian and writer. He is known for the novel he wrote in Breton, 'Bilzig'. The action takes place in the XVIIIth century in the village of Locquirec in the Trégor region, where he was Mayor from 1928 to 1935.
