Le Goarnic Jean Jacques

Jean.Jacques Manrot-Le Goarnig (1927-2013). His name remains linked to the official recognition of Breton names.

'He loved Brittany with every fiber of his being, deeply, just like his friend Glenmor', writes Nolwenn Le Gac, his assistant. Jean-Jacques Manrot-Le Goarnig, who had taken the names of his father and of his mother, but later on called himself, Goarnig Kozh, (old Goarnig) was the patriarch of a family of 12 children. A family who took center stage in his struggle: a rebellion against the ban on parents giving a Breton name to their children.
