Kerforne Fernand


Fernand Kerforne (1864-1927), born in Quimperlé, was considered to be the father of Breton geology. From 1914 he was in charge of the geology laboratory and became curator of the natural science museum of Rennes in 1924. His work was a decisive factor in the geological studies of the massif of Brittany. His also was the expertise for the construction of the Guerlédan dam near Mûr de Bretagne.
