Creston René-Yves

René-Yves Creston is the pseudonym of René Pierre Joseph Creston, artist and autonomist ethnologist, was born on 25th October 1898 in Saint Nazaire and died in Étables-sur-mer on 30th May 1964.

In 1923, with Jeanne Malivel and his wife Suzanne Creston he founded 'Unvaniezh Seiz Breur' (Union of the seven brothers), which brought together a number of Breton artists wanting to create works for the greater recognition of Brittany.
