The research conducted by André-Yves Bourgès is part of the problem of the relationship between hagiography and history in mediaeval times, especially in Brittany; he also came out of his favourite field: for example, to share with Sir Walter Scott's admirers the invention of one of the "keys" to the romantic work of the great Scottish writer.
