Jules Mahieu, born on 22nd March 1897 in Wasmes (Belgium) and deceased on 11 July 1968 in La Brigue (France), was a Belgian priest and Wallon activist.
Born into a working class family settled in Wasmes, Father Jules Mahieu became Vicar of the parish of Roux in 1926.
His Wallon activism brought him into opposition with Adhemar de Jonghe, a Flemish Vicar from Roux, who directed the local branch of the Broederbond, and to carry the Wallon flag in processions, which brought on the dissaproval of the Bishop and disciplinary action.
