Arbois De Jubainville (D') Marie-Henri

Marie-Henri d'Arbois de Jubainville, born in Nancy on 15th December 1827 and deceased in Paris on 26th February 1910, was an archivist and French Celtic scholar. On becoming a paleographic archivist he took over as director of the Aube archives in 1852 until his retirement in 1880. In 1882 he was the first to be appointed to the chair of Celtic languages and litterature at 'Collége de France', and was to be succeeded by Joseph Loth.
