
Georges Lombard is a French politician born on March 14, 1925 in Paris and died in Brest on September 13, 2010. After high school, he went to law school and the profession of lawyer, he practices at the Bar Brest since 1949. In 1958 he began a political career by becoming a deputy Finistere. Mayor of Brest from 1959 to 1973, he founded the Urban Community of Brest, where he became the first president from 1974 to 1977, and from 1983 to 1989.
He is councilor general of the canton of Brest-Saint-Marc until 1992, senator from 1971 to 1989. He was also regional councilor. From 1972 to 1974 he was president of CELIB and first president of the Cultural Institute of Brittany, from 1981 to 1986.
