Joseph Abasq is a French writer born in Guipronvel , Brittany , in 1923 and died in Saint Herblain in 2006. He was a teacher of English and Breton, mainly in Nantes and participated in the development of radio broadcasts with Charles Le Gall in the 1950s. 60.

He has written extensively in the Breton language in Brud Nevez magazine , mostly in short stories and translations: Sonnets by Shakespeare and the Welsh Cafflogion by RG Jones and Treid daouhualet by Kate Roberts, and Long Desolate , a play by Vaclav Havel .

He also participated in the production of a Breton-French dictionary .
