Pilven le Sévellec Théodore

Théodore Pilven le Sévellec, originally from Guisseny, was a judge who wrote several books at the end of the 19th and early 20th century. He was born on 26th May 1842. His surname, - Pilven le Sévellec - linked his father's name, Lucien Pilven who was Mayor Guisseny, with his mother's, Joséphine Le Sevellec. He was educated, first at the Guisseny public school where, according to Lukian Raoul, he was subjected to the humiliation of wearing the Breton speaker's symbol. He continued his education in Saint Pol de Léon and in Lesneven. He took part in the war of 1870 in the Breton army 'billeted' at the 'Camp de Conlie.
