Ernault Émile

Emile Jean Marie Ernault, born in Saint Brieuc on 24th July 1852 and deceased in Saint Brieuc on 6th January 1938, was a linguist and writer with a great interest in Breton, particularly in Welsh and in old and middle Breton. He was a bard 'Barz ar Gouet' with the Breton 'Gorsedd' and Chevalier of the Legion of Honour, also President of the Breton Academy. He sometimes signed under the name of Emile Ernod.
