Toublanc Gerard

description:

Gerard Toublanc was born in September 1935 in Dinard He studied Law, was one of the first signatories of the 'Projet pour l¡Organisation de la Bretagne' during the summer of 1956, and behind the 'Labour' movement and the magazine 'Labour Dispac'h' (1958.1962). In 1962 he presented his thesis for his doctorate on 'Lettres et Lois sur le Traité de l'Union de la Bretagne et de la France in 1532' at Sheffield University (England). He composed a summary of the History of Brittany for young people, and in 'Ar Vro' published some erudite articles, also working with the Gorsedd de Bretagne Law commission, and contributed writings for 'An Tribann' and various magazines.

He devoted his short and intense life to his country and to the Breton movement; he died suddenly in July 1965, far from his beloved Brittany, in obscure circumstances. He was not yet 30 years old.
