Célestin Lainé (1908-1983) born in Nantes, was brought up in Ploudalmézeau. In 1929, he founded a secret society: Kentoc'h Mervel (Better dead) and studied at the 'Ecole Centrale'. He became a chemical engineer and an Officer of the reserve in the French army, and joined in the struggle for the creation of a Breton State.
All his efforts were motivated by a single goal: the creation of Breton national army capable of gaining Brittany's independence.
