
Born in the United States, Lois Kuter is a doctor in ethnomusicology. Her research, based on Irish music, led her to become interested in Breton music and Breton culture as a whole and she became a very active ambassador in North America. Founding member of the International Committee for the Defense of the Breton Language and responsible for its branch in the United States, it has been publishing since 1980 a remarkable English-language news bulletin on Brittany, Bro Nevez (new country). She has also produced over 120 radio programs on Breton music. She is decorated with the Order of Hermine.
